Kori Wilford

Kori WilfordKori grew up in Northern Colorado singing in choirs and being involved with swim team, gymnastics, and dance.  Kori was last seen as a member of the ensemble cast and in the role of Alexi Darling in the OpenStage Theatre & Company’s production of RENT (2013).  A pole and aerial dance enthusiast, she performed with Lime Light Fitness during the pole dance pre-show of The Rocky Horror Show (OpenStage, 2012) and as a pole dancer in the carnival inspired nightmare scene of the local Fort Collins film Whensday (NoCoast Artists, 2013).

She would like to express her gratitude to the actors and artists who have welcomed her to the world of performing arts with their encouragement and friendship, including her fellow cast and creatives of The After Party!  “Joining up with all of these warm-hearted, talented and often hilarious people has brought so much joy to my life! Thank you all!”

Her love of new experiences, art and culture has inspired travel to over twenty countries throughout the world over the past decade, including spending a few weeks in India in both 2008 and 2009. Kori holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota and has earned recognition for her professional and volunteer work, including awards from the City of Fort Collins and The Colorado American Association of University Women.

Kori wants to ensure that her two young children, along with the rest of our community, have the opportunity to enjoy local theatre well into the future and is therefore thrilled to also be serving as a board member for OpenStage Theatre & Company.

Kori’s next performance will be as a dancer/ Green Orchid in the OpenStage Theatre & Company production of Journey to the West, which runs September 6 -October 4.
